Teachers and engineers building marking that saves hours, without ever taking the final say away from teachers.

Mohammed teaches Computer Science and started CS Revise, which is where SmartMarking came from. He leads the team and sets the direction, planning the product, the ideas and the way it should work for a real class. He keeps coming back to one rule: it is your paper, your mark scheme, and your final say.

Robiul runs the engineering. He has spent around twenty years building software in C# and .NET, with work for Just Eat, Checkout.com, Moonpig and Transport for London, and he runs his own engineering practice. He builds systems that stay fast and steady under load, using microservices and serverless on AWS. That is what lets a whole department mark a class set at once without anything slowing down.

Saroz builds the marking engine. He is a full-stack engineer with eighteen years across healthcare AI, e-commerce and fintech, and he has shipped AI that real people depend on. He focuses on keeping the marking accurate and consistent, and on the safety checks that matter most when the work belongs to students.
SmartMarking started inside a Computer Science classroom, where marking a class set against a real mark scheme ate whole evenings. We are building AI that does the first pass and flags what it's unsure about, so teachers spend their time on the calls that matter and decide every mark that goes out.
SmartMarking is in development now. Register your interest and we'll invite you when teacher early access opens.
